Founded in 2016, Silverleaf Primary School was born out of a vision to provide quality education in one of Cape Town’s most underserved communities — Dunoon, located in the Cape Farms region of the Western Cape.

Dunoon is a vibrant but highly overcrowded township, marked by poverty, limited infrastructure, and pressing social challenges. Yet, in the heart of this adversity, Silverleaf Primary stands as a beacon of hope, determination, and transformation.

What started as a small, struggling school has grown into a thriving learning space that now serves hundreds of learners from the surrounding informal settlements. Our classrooms may be modest, but our spirit is powerful — powered by passionate educators, supportive parents, and resilient children with big dreams.

Despite limited resources, our mission remains clear: to break the cycle of poverty through education. We are more than just a school — we are a safe haven, a second home, and a launchpad for future leaders.

From 2016 to now, Silverleaf has become a symbol of what’s possible when a community believes in the power of education. Every learner who walks through our gates is a reminder that greatness can rise from even the humblest beginnings.
